Once you start rolling you don't stop!

I came up to check on Ella who was supposedly still sleeping. I walked in the room which was dark & thought something looks unusual. I had put Ella in her bassinet which I thought didn't leave much room for rolling around in but I was wrong. All I saw was the back of her head lifted high & heard her talking:) I took these pics by turning the hood forward. There she was just smiling at me, happy she had turned over in her little bed.:)! Later on she was napping in her crib & again I found her rolled over only this time she was fast asleep:)!

We went out to eat for Ruthie's birthday. Ella is not content to just sit in her car seat anymore:). She discovered straws & by the end of the meal there was a bunch on the floor:).
The weather was so nice we went without a coat or tights:) Ella has really
started rolling over a lot! & picking her head up really high!

I saw this at my aunt's house. She a a beautiful backyard with a lot of birds. I saw this squirrel hanging upside down to get the birdseed. I thought he was very smart & funny:)!!

Excuse me ma'am you're too old to play with toys....

Yes, that's why you have kids so you can play with toys still:)! We found this adorable wooden play box at the thrift store yesterday for $3.00! It has different activities on all sides (shapes, colors, numbers, objects, etc...) Best of all everything moves back & forth along different paths. Ella really can't play with it yet but we had fun :) & she had fun watching us!

Just a couple of minutes before I wrote this I went to check on Ella who was suppose to be going to sleep but wasn't:). She was trying to roll over so I helped her then sat her up in the corner of her crib & she sat up by herself for 30 seconds!!!!!!!! Than she grabbed her foot while looking at me because I kept snapping away & actually went from sitting up to her tummy the right way(with out just falling over) !!! She probably won't do that again for awhile:) Wish I had time for the video camera:)! I have too many pictures to post them all of her doing it:)

Lip Smackers

Ella started doing a new sound about a month ago where she smacks her lips & blows her cheeks out. It is sooo funny! Her face looks like this in the picture. She stopped doing it after a couple of weeks & just a couple of days ago started again:). We have enjoyed hearing it again & laugh & laugh with her. :)

5 months old today!

Surprises!

I had the biggest surprise today for a moment I thought it was a April Fool's joke. When I looked at my mail in what looked like junk mail was a long white envelope. What made me really look at it instead of just throwing it out, I don't know but when I looked at the envelope it had our address in the return spot & the middle typed out. It was mailed right from our area so I thought that was strange. When I opened it there was a $25 gift card for Darden Restaurants one of which is our favorite- Olive Garden!!!!! There was no note or anything else inside so we don't know who sent it. But whoever did you made someone very HAPPY!!!!!! Thank You!!!!! What a blessing you gave to us. Daniel & I will enjoy a happy date soon with it :)
